Introducing Curava!

If you’ve been following this blog for a while you’re probably already familiar with granite, quartz, and Dekton, but what if I told you that there’s another stone we offer that isn’t like anything you’ve ever seen before?

I’m talking about this cool new countertop surface development out of San Antonio called Curava. Curava is made of mostly recycled glass shards bound in a cement resin binder. It’s is a very low maintenance stone due to it’s composition and doesn’t require annual sealing. Curava is resistant to heat, scratches, and stains. That being said, it’s only heat resistant, not heat proof. Aside from it coming from recycled materials, the best thing about Curava is how COOL it looks! Just take a look at these photos!

How Dekton is Made

Dekton is an ultracompact surface developed by Cosentino that boasts extraordinary aesthetic and technical characteristics as well as resistance to scratches and high and low temperatures. It’s almost completely impervious to liquids, extremely stain resistant, and it’s color remains the same over time, even when exposed to ultraviolet radiation.
